The Gloucester Methodist Circuit

Hucclecote are hosting Craft Workshops on behalf of the Girls Brigade Fundraising and the proceeds are going to their chosen charity – The Marie Curie Fund. The workshops will be held on Saturday 24th January 2009. I attach a Poster and Application Form and would be glad if you would make this available to your congregation as soon as possible.

We extend a warm welcome to any of your members (Ladies and Gentlemen), although we would think the day is probable not suitable for young people under the age of 16. These are taster days in new crafts, so obviously no previous experience is necessary. It’s a good time of friendship and fellowship, and the price of £8 includes coffee, lunch and afternoon tea, so it’s good value also.

Spirit of Peace/Jerusalem Peacemakers UK Bring & Share Supper - 7pm, Monday 12th January 09 at The Friendship Cafe, Barton Street, Gloucester.
Coinciding with the start of Discover Islam Week, the evening includes:
- Reflections on recent experiences in Israel/Palestine
- The Three Faiths Pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 2010
- The visit to the UK of Ibrahim Issa (Director of Hope Flowers School Bethlehem) and Sheikh Ghassan Manasra (Scholar of The Treasures of Islam) in March 09.
