How We Work

The Circuit has an overall Circuit Structure within which the ordained ministers and deacons - collectively known as the Circuit Staff and the appointed office holders both ordained and local - the Circuit Officers find their place. The final authority is of course the Circuit Assembly, but the day to day operations are overseen by the Circuit Superintendant, working with the Circuit Executive.

The Circuit Mission Statement reads,

The Circuit affirms Our Calling from God within the Methodist Church: enabling Christians and congregations, individuals and communities, to recognise and fulfil their calling by encouragement, support and by the exploration of new visions in God’s world.

As far as possible, the structure of the Circuit is intended to reflect this mission.
