I am the Circuit Superintendent Minister, with an overall responsibility for working with lay and ordained colleagues to encourage the mission and ministry of the Circuit's 45 churches. Additionally, I have a particular responsibility for Bishop's Cleeve Methodist Church, and am an Ecumenical Canon of Gloucester Cathedral.
Before arriving in August 2013, I was a minister in the Medway in Kent, in Hayes in West London, in Sheffield, Manchester and most recently in Poynton in Cheshire, looking after churches and being at times a Prison and University chaplain. Before that I was a solicitor for about a decade, mostly in central London. I have a PhD and special interest in the interface between psychotherapy and pastoral care and theology.
My wife is also a Methodist minister with a national role as Secretary to the Connexional Faith & Order Committee, and we have one daughter. My interests include hill walking and classical music. My longing is for the world to know more of the love that God has for all.
