ALL CIRCUIT MEETINGS AND EVENTS, INCLUDING SAFEGUARDING TRAINING, WILL BE CANCELLED OR POSTPONED WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.

This will be kept under review in the light of Government and NHS advice, but we should expect it to be up to and including 14th June 2020 and possibly longer. Further advice will be issued about handling any essential governance issues.

INDIVIDUAL CHURCHES ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO CANCEL OR POSTPONE ALL MEETINGS, ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.

This should be kept under review in the light of Government and NHS advice, but we should expect it to be up to and including 14th June 2020 and possibly longer. Further advice will be issued about handling any essential governance issues.

Individual churches should hold urgent discussions with external organisations using their premises with a view to cancellation of the booking for the foreseeable future — some users may wish to cancel bookings anyway. Conversations should be sensitive to the fact that some users e.g. dance groups depend on the use of premises for their income. It is part of our civic responsibility to uphold the advice of the Government and NHS in relation to social gatherings.

Churches should consider whether they are able to offer hospitality to groups that support the vulnerable e.g. foodbanks, homelessness projects etc. and take whatever action they can including asking for support from, the wider circuit and neighbouring churches to find ways of sustaining these activities.

There is guidance about supporting foodbanks here.
