Outreach Worker at Tewkesbury Methodist Church

We're looking for someone to join us in engaging with the local community and helping to grow and develop our outreach work with those already involved in the life of the church and those not yet engaged. We need someone to build relationships with & offer pastoral care to parents & their families.

ARE YOU:-Able to work with people of all ages, helping foster a fully inclusive, welcoming environment to everyone in the community?

• Looking for a role that helps develop your pastoral skills, providing support and guidance to those in need?
• Able to work alongside existing group leaders, pastoral visitors and other volunteers to help nurture a sense of welcome and belonging to young singles, couples and families?

DO YOU:

• Have the skills to develop our Welcome Space as an inclusive venue for hospitality, arts and spirituality?
• Know how to engage with people from all backgrounds, providing a safe space and opportunity to listen to and support their needs and build good relationships with the community?
• Have the skills to help develop new, creative and fun style activities for our all-age congregation?
• Know how to use social media to promote our outreach work, publicise events and increase awareness of the work we do?
• Want to explore building upon the mission work with ecumenical programmes throughout Tewkesbury?
