Marathon Man!

On Sunday 4 October 2020 Local Preacher Peter Allsopp lined up on the virtual start line of the 2020 London Marathon to support the life changing care given by the team at Sue Ryder.

With support from Peter's wife Margaret, who was on hand to supply kit, drinks and Skype calls with their daughters Kathryn and Jenny, Almost Athletes club colleague Mark who ran 10 miles alongside him and wonderful friends from Bethesda Junior Church as well as many other friends and car horn toots along the way, Peter managed to successfully complete the course.

A distance of 26.2 miles; 52,000 steps; 3,300 calories in 5 hrs 35 mins, but more importantly over £1,500 raised for Sue Ryder. Thank you for your wonderful support for the charity.
