UPDATE: Around North Yorkshire

Today started with an early 8am call in Ripon to present the climate change letter to Deacon Nigel Perrott of the North & East York Methodist District, then back in the saddle for the morning ride to York Minster. After spending some time in the magnificent Minster, seat of the Archbishop of York, John headed to Bradford Cathedral. Later he met Stuart Ayton, Circuit Steward of North Bradford area for the West York Methodist District who received a copy of the Climate Change Letter.

Revd John Kime meets Deacon Nigel Perrott

Revd John Kime is cycling 2000 miles up and across England bearing a letter from the Methodist Church's Bristol District Chair, the Revd Dr Jonathan Pye, highlighting the urgent issue of climate change and climate justice.

The letter calls to support actions which will care for creation in a proactive way, lobby the Government which is hosting the COP 26 talks in Glasgow for lasting commitments to care for our planet, and for individuals to take steps 'to tread more lightly upon this earth'.
