UPDATE: Into Yorkshire and Sheffield!
After an early morning interview with BBC Radio Gloucestershire's Sunday Breakfast Presenter Richard Atkins, it was back on the bike and off on the road again. Leaving Bradford around 9am the 41 mile route took him via Wakefield on to the hilly steel city of Sheffield.
John said, "the advice given to me at Wakefield was that is was all down hill to Sheffield. Really? I've never ridden such a hilly 41 miles...they felt like 81... I'm glad I'm resting up now!"
Later that evening Revd John Kime visited Victoria Methodist Central Hall where their Minister the Revd Jonathan Haigh received a copy of the Climate change letter.
Revd John Kime is cycling 2000 miles up and across England bearing a letter from the Methodist Church's Bristol District Chair, the Revd Dr Jonathan Pye, highlighting the urgent issue of climate change and climate justice.
The letter calls to support actions which will care for creation in a proactive way, lobby the Government which is hosting the COP 26 talks in Glasgow for lasting commitments to care for our planet, and for individuals to take steps 'to tread more lightly upon this earth'.
