Background Information
The Circuit Assembly is responsible for the maintenance of the manses occupied by ministers and their dependants. The Methodist Conference has agreed the specifications for manses so that they can be used as a home and as a base for ministry.
The care of manses is at all times a matter of partnership and cooperation between the occupants and the circuit officers. The Circuit Assembly aims to maintain manses at the highest possible standard for the comfort and well-being of the occupants.
Purpose
To ensure proper maintenance of the Circuit manses assigned to the particular manse steward.

Meetings to Attend
Circuit Manse Steward group meetings – no more than two per year.
Time Commitment
This can vary depending on work required on a particular manse.
Equipment Needed
Access to telephone and email.
Expenses
Travel expenses will be paid at the agreed Connexional rate for volunteers. Receipted expenses agreed in advance with the Circuit Lead Manse Coordinator, necessarily incurred in the performance of the duties, will be reimbursed.
Review Procedure
This role is subject to annual appointment by the Circuit Assembly. Appointments will not normally be renewed after six successive years.
